Stoneridge - front of house
Stoneridge Guest House is an elegant Victorian house, situated in a prestigious residential area of Buxton.

Built in 1887 the house lies within a Conservation Area and enjoys views overlooking Buxton's Cricket Ground.

The unique town centre full of boutiques, cafe bars and restaurants are all within a five minute stroll.

Stoneridge is ideally located for visiting Buxton's famous landmarks - including the Opera House, Georgian Crescent, the ornamental Pavilion Gardens, Devonshire Spa/University Campus and the famous St. Anne's Well - where you can drink and fill bottles with pure Buxton Spring Water.

The surrounding area provides something for everyone with historical architecture, breathtaking scenery and walks, enjoyable and demanding cycling routes, archaeology and caves.

For the more serious shopper, Manchester City Centre and the Trafford Centre are a little over an hour away by car or train and for those seeking fast rides and thrills, Alton Towers is just 45 minutes away.

About the Guest House
Stoneridge Guest House is owned and run by Claire and Andrew Duncan whose primary aim is to provide you with a relaxing and memorable stay. Whether it's sitting in the garden during the summer or a cosy evening in the lounge in front of the fire in winter, you are sure to enjoy your stay.

Our guests seem to agree: 'Once you have stayed at Stoneridge you'll never want to stay anywhere else in Buxton'.

The house has a modern 'boutique' decoration, yet is sympathetic to its Victorian architecture with large rooms and high ceilings.

The lounge is a tranquil retreat where you'll find lots of up-to-date magazines and daily newspapers. The dining room offers a quiet place to work in, with plenty of power points for laptops and wireless connection so you can keep up-to-date with the outside world.

Whenever possible  we source all our food from local producers and suppliers and always opt for 'Fair Trade' products.

We try to cater for all special dietary requirements - vegetarian, vegan, wheat intolerance, fat free and dairy free - and we are happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Dining Room

Breakfast at Stoneridge is a relaxing affair. There is plenty on offer to tempt every palate and appetite, large or small. We offer a large and varied selection of cereals, hot porridge, fruit juices, fresh fruit and yoghurts - as well as our famous 'Stoneridge Breakfast'. Vegetarian and vegan breakfasts are always available.

Packed lunches and Evening Meals can be provided (prior notice required, no meals on a Sunday) and guests are welcome to bring their own 'wine to dine' - with no corkage charge. Evening meal menus change monthly and daily specials are offered.

Twin Bedroom
All four bedrooms have en-suites and have recently been redecorated and refurbished to the highest of standards. Every detail has been thought about to provide guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Bedroom tables extend to provide guests with a desk/work station and all rooms feature free Wi-fi connection.

There are flat screen televisions with built-in DVD players in all rooms - together with 'essentials' such as hairdryers and radio alarm clocks. We even provide irons and ironing boards. In your en-suite you'll find complimentary soap, shower gel, shampoo, hand cream, tissues and cotton pads and buds.

Double Bedroom
A luxury refreshment tray awaits you, offering bottled Buxton water, Borders biscuits, chocolates, coffees, breakfast tea, Earl Grey tea, fruit and herbal teas, Hot Chocolate and Horlicks - for which we were awarded an "Excellent" from the Tourist Board inspector.
