Stoneridge Guest House is an elegant Victorian house, situated in a prestigious residential area of Buxton. Built in 1887, the house lies within Buxton’s Conservation Area. The unique town centre full of boutiques, cafe bars and restaurants are all within a five minute stroll. Stoneridge is ideally located for visiting Buxton's famous landmarks - including the Opera House, Georgian Crescent, the ornamental Pavilion Gardens, Devonshire Dome for the University Campus & Spa as well as the famous St. Ann's Well - where you can drink and fill bottles with pure Buxton Spring Water. The surrounding area provides something for everyone with historical architecture, breathtaking scenery and walks, enjoyable and demanding cycling routes, archaeology and caves. For the more serious shopper, Manchester City Centre, the Trafford Centre and Cheshire Oaks are a little over an hour away by car or train and for those seeking fast rides and thrills, Alton Towers is just 45 minutes away. About the Guest House Stoneridge Guest House is owned and run by Claire and Andrew Duncan whose primary aim is to provide you with a relaxing and memorable stay. Whether it's sitting in the garden during the summer or a cosy evening in the lounge in front of the fire in winter, you are sure to enjoy your stay.The house has a modern 'boutique' decoration, yet is sympathetic to its Victorian architecture with large rooms and high ceilings. |

Breakfast at Stoneridge is a relaxing affair. There is plenty on offer to tempt every palate and appetite, large or small. We offer a large and varied selection of cereals, hot porridge, fruit juices, fresh fruit and yoghurts - as well as our famous 'Stoneridge Breakfast'. Vegetarian and vegan breakfasts are always available. For the third year running, we have been awarded the ‘Enjoy England’ Breakfast Award. Wherever possible we source all our food from local producers and suppliers. We try to cater for all special dietary requirements - vegetarian, vegan, wheat intolerance, fat free, dairy free and we are happy to discuss your requirements with you. |

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8 and 9 o’clock. Evening meals between 5:30 and 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday We offer either a 2 or 3 course meal with coffee. During the Buxton Festival and Gilbert & Sullivan Festival a ‘lighter’ menu is available, Monday to Friday evenings. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine Packed lunches are available every day |

Bedrooms All four of our bedrooms have en-suites and have recently been redecorated and refurbished to the highest of standards. Every detail has been thought about to provide guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Bedroom tables extend to provide guests with a desk/work station and all rooms have free Wi-Fi There are flat screen televisions with built-in DVD players in all rooms together with 'essentials' such as hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards. In your en-suite you'll find complimentary soap, shower gel, shampoo, hand cream, tissues, shower caps and cotton pads and buds. A luxury refreshment tray awaits you, offering bottled Buxton water, Borders biscuits, chocolates, coffee, breakfast tea, Earl Grey tea, fruit and herbal teas, Hot Chocolate and Horlicks Towelling dressing robes are provided free of charge and there is a selection of towels to suit everyone. |

Planning your stay We have a comprehensive knowledge of the Peak District and its local attractions and are more than happy to help you plan your break. Whether walking or cycling, visiting stately homes and National Trust properties we offer the best advice so you can get the best out of your time away. Aware of the expense of family holidays, we can help you plan your stay to incorporate free or inexpensive days out. Family 'Teas' and packed lunches make the 'eating out budget' go further. We have a large selection of brochures and maps for local attractions or walks and can arrange cycle hire for you. A computer with internet access is also available for your convenience in the upstairs seating area. Making it special Stoneridge is an ideal location and setting for family and friends to gather. It is also a peaceful sanctuary for a well deserved break. Christmas at Stoneridge We welcome bookings over the festive period. We can also arrange an early or late Christmas for families and friends unable to be together on the actual day. Gather together in our guest lounge, open presents in front of the fire or by the tree. We will provide you with mulled wine or hot chocolate. A traditional festive feast is served in the dining room at a time to suit. ** We offer the same arrangement for Easter, minus the Christmas tree and crackers! but the Easter Bunny does visit. |
